...and Andrew quotes FireflyCollapse )

At times like this, I'm glad MTV execs don't read my comic. I don't want to put ideas in their otherwise empty heads.

There are so many more jokes I could make about this, but they would get me into so much trouble...

thus ends another mini-storyCollapse )

See, some sweet little girl in Chinatown saw Pickles, and Pickles saw her, and suddenly all that anger that Pickles had been feeling all his doggy life drained away as the little girl ran up and hugged him, and the little girl's father ran a take-out stand and Andrew and Darth were able to trade Pickles for sweet-and-sour chicken, and the little girl went home with happy tears trailing down her face, and Darth and Andrew went home with food, and Pickles turned out to be a "she" when she had a litter of adorable half-Dalmatian puppies. Obviously. Whatever other conclusions you might have drawn are the product of your own twisted mind, not mine. Obviously.

there is a reasonable explanationCollapse )

All questionable joking aside, any dog as angry and vicious as Pickles has obviously been treated equally viciously by its former owners. Feel free to track down those former owners and make *them* whine, both for mistreating their "pet" (read: victim) and for endangering the lives of innocent bystanders.

I guess I'm not really a dog person. However, although this storyline is loosely based on real events in my life, the real dog was actually fairly well-behaved and friendly. Dumb as a doornail, if not dumber, but not vicious or loud. I didn't really mind it much.

This strip marks the very temporary return of the Comic Sans font. I haven't gotten CG Omega installed on this computer yet. Also, it looks as though the Vista version of Paint will be anti-aliasing my text. Hmmm. I suppose I'll have to learn to live with it.

The strip is also a bit early. I was logged in anyway, so I thought, why not?

Uh-oh... I sense a disturbance in the Force that is Andrew's future. This can only be a bad thing... or can it?

Ok, ok, ok. C'est tout. I just happened to find this strip in my files and hated to let a week's worth of comics go to waste.

Hehehehehehe... classic. Alas, all good things must come to an end. This is the final strip in the most recent Darth/Circumgoy collaboration. One last, heartfelt THANKS!

I love this one. It's perfect. It really is.

This is the third strip in this particular miniseries. I am most grateful to Darth and Circumgoy for helping me out by doing these guest strips!

Many many thanks to Darth and Circumgoy for teaming up and bailing me out of an upcoming shortage of strips. This strip and the three that follow will be the result of their collaboration. Geez, if these two went into a permanent arrangement, I could have some serious competition on my hands...

Bitter? Me? Naaahhhh...

Oh, and... darn. I have been telling my readers that this would be the last Oregon Trail strip. Turns out I was wrong. I didn't mean to be wrong, I just found one I'd forgotten. Um. I'm posting it, because I drew it and I don't wanna waste it. But THAT's the last one.

Having just nearly apologized, I do wanna point out that *I*, at least, still like these strips. So do a few of my readers. So hah.

Coming next week: The first of four (4) guest strips by Darth and Circumgoy! Stay tuned!

Yes, this conversation happened. No, I wasn't serious. I know a little something about the game.

I am a pretty horrible player, though, as I've noted before. I go way over par on most of my opponent's serves.

Honestly, if I had an invitation to set up a booth, I'd probably turn it down. So I'm not bitter. Really, I'm not.

The fact that there are still people on Earth who don't read my comic... now THAT makes me bitter... ;)

Also: this is an update-and-a-half. What's the half? Go back to the previous strip to see it.

More self-... wossname. Tip of my tongue. Effacing. Self-effacing humor, yes.

Ok, look, stop complaining. After this, there's only one, count 'em, ONE more Oregon Trail strip.

Sorry this strip is late... and I may not be able to post next week at all, depending on Internet availability. Keep your fingers crossed.

Ouch.

You just can't take anyone's online identity for granted, can you? Except mine, of course. My friends will vouch for the fact that I'm 6'9" and built like a pro bodybuilder.

Fact is, I'm starring in the next Conan movie.
